Hannah is a practitioner in both the fields of conflict transformation and interactive theatre. She is currently working on the Support for Projects in the Transformation Partnership at zivik, esp. focusing on the 'Democratic Change in the Arab World'. She is a former associate researcher at Berghof Foundation. In her PhD thesis she explored forum theatre methodology as a way to generate knowledge about how to transform conflict, with a case study on postwar Lebanon. Her research interests include: the role of media in conflict transformation in intercultural contexts; relationships between external and internal actors in conflict, in particular concerning issues of local ownership; and the processes and dynamics of implementing intercultural projects. Hannah has an MA in Islamic Societies and Cultures from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, UK, and a graduate diploma in Human Geography from the University of Bonn, Germany.
