Participatory Theatre and Social Action: The Use of Natural Ressources

On 10th October and/ or during the Alternative Resources Week from 12th to 19th October we will present an interactive theatre programm in Berlin. Inspired by David Diamond's concept Theatre for Living a small crew of approx. 10 participants is up to break new ground. Our topic is the use of natural resources in the rich countries of the global north, the finite nature of fossil fuel supply, and the social dimension of resource exploitation in the global south (especially in Africa). As we feel the need for a more systemic and sustainable approach to the pressing challenge of 'peak oil', we urge to bring the human individual back into the discussion. That's why we go for Participatory Theatre!
Our performance is a project by Working Group Chad and part of its programm '10 years first oil in Tchad'.
